I would just make that. Anyone experienced enough to replace rockers can do it with some trial and error style fabrication. It doesn't have to be perfect, it gets covered with carpet or a rubber mat.

Do the rockers need work too? If so the inner rocker panels from LMC should cover that area too.

I'm wondering if I should trim it square now, and then replace the inner and outer rocker, then the floor pan, then patch this area. Or do you think I should patch this area first? I'm confident I can fill the hole with metal and weld, but I don't want it to be all lumpy or square, since the factory piece is more contoured, you know what I mean?

Guaranteed your inner rockers are 100% shot. Should probably crawl under the truck and take a visual inspection because you may need a cab support too.

I bought this, http://www.classicparts.com/1973-87-Floor-Outer-Rear-Section-Left/productinfo/45-955/#.VsU6mOZGQQg

Because I thought it might cover that area, but once I had it in my hand, I had my doubts lol.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking when I said inner rocker. That would be the "correct" way to do it but it's gonna be a lot of work. Yo might get lucky and be able to slip it in from the bottom. You could try one of those spot weld cutters and drill out the welds. Do some strateigic cutting and replace that part. Unless you need a rocker panel too.....

I have a inner/outer rocker, cab support, kick panel, floor pan, and the part I linked above. Although I don't need them all, they're cheap, and easy to replace. But I don't think the part I linked above cover's the seat area. It looks like it goes between the inner and outer and the floor sits on it.
