Painting dash pad

I recall reading about someone on here painting a dash pad. What kind of paint did you use? I want to do the interior of my truck in light buckskin or tan but all the dashes are darker or brown. I want the dash the light colour too as seen in the pic below. Also attached a pic of the rig under construction.

I used Duplicolor on my last truck. Never had any issues. I will be using SEM for this one as no one else carries the color I need.

I used the ColorBond paint/dye available from LMC and other vendors.
I color matched all the interior panels (including the dash pad)
Also used a Matte finish Clear Coat.

I used SEM on the door panels, dash cover and all other plastic/vinyl trim on a '84 blazer. It held up ok, I was not gentle with the truck, would use it again.

Clean and prep first, then use adhesion promoter before color. SEM or Bulldog makes it.

Clean ,wax and grease remover and lightly scuff with red scotch rite pad

I used Krylon Fusion paint on my door panels and dash pad. My dash pad is trashed anyways and it's covered with a dash mat. Also did my console, which was originally tan.

use SEM paint work great...but the secret is...preparation good sanding,cleaning, use of good adesive primer ect... ;)

in this picture a did door panel, console and all the trim and dash ;)
