They gave you a warning that certain suspension parts and other certain parts have a long lead time. I've ordered recently and you have to physically acknowledge that before checkout.

Yeah I hear ya, springs just don’t seem that uncommon to have that long of a lead time… My tranny is in its 8th week also ugh !

ORD has their springs made by Alcan. Anytime a third party is involved it is going to take longer.

3rd party. I imagine ords custom springs aren't just flying off the shelf though. I'm sure they have a good volume. They also might do little batches, in order to mitigate freight costs and what not. A lot goes on behind the scenes.

Well here they are kids ! Genuine works of art, one tip, if you're building a show or road only truck DO NOT have them dipped as I'm kicking myself a little... ORD shows pics and warns you about inconsistent runny finish and it's just that and then some, on top of that UPS or any other currier for that matter ABUSES THE F**K out of them !

That's one of the reasons I haven't ordered any springs. Id feel guilty about it, but I also wouldn't want my **** beat up

Yeah Mase mine have endured a rougher life already than they'll see on the truck lol ! I'm no spring expert but know you can order them bare, then what ? Pull them completely apart and have each leaf powder coated ? Not sure if powder coat is "pliable" enough for springs ?

My ORD springs were just like that, I hit ‘em with the flap disc then repainted them, took maybe 15 minutes.

I'll do something along the lines of that upon final assembly but for now I suppose they are protected with Alcan's dip goop... Could you share a ride report and what they went in and how much lift ?

My ORD springs weren’t custom, just the economy whatever brand they sell.
Supposed to be 4” measures about 6” but the the chassis has no weight on it yet, it’ll be a while before I assess the ride.

Ah frame off resto, looks awesome I envy you ! I'm scared to death getting into this project, haven't taken a Square to the frame in a million years and when we did it wasn't for a pristine restoration it was to butcher something together for it's next beating ! Mine certainly doesn't need it but I get stupid ideas in my head quite often....
