I have a C10 truck from 1981. Engine is a 350N (Oldsmobile 5.7 Diesel) with injector pump Roosa Master DB2825 SF 3840 J and transmission is THM350.
Vacuum Regulator Valve as shown on a attached pic is GM PART# 22509502 (I believe). It’s not functioning correctly any more.

There are some vacuum regulator valves around (eBay etc, see pics 1-4) for Oldsmobile diesels, but they look different or they have different GM part number (ie. differs my truck part number).

Does anyone know are those (any of those) valves suitable to my truck? So are those valves interchangeable?

And for what reason that electrical connection/wiring is for? Because vacuum is used for controlling transmission? One of those VRV valves (pic 1) do not even have any wiring.

Many thanks for help!

Post a pic of yours, I'll see if I have anything kicking around.

Mine C10 has this VRV as attached pic. It works occasionally time to time. Visually it looks like VRV valve on example pic 3 I posted above. But according to GM part number that VRV is meant to suit "1982-85 Caprice Regal Cadillac".

I wonder if the Roosa Master DB2 injector pumps construction differs so much between trucks and cars and different years... probably not? Or is there difference on air intake between trucks and cars that GM had to use different kind of VRV in order that it fits to the side of IP?

As far as mounting the modulator there's very little difference between the various pumps. It's more likely the valve configuration has to do with fit and clearance. Probably also the requirements of the different transmissions.

As far as it stating it's for Buicks or whatever, remember GM put that engine in almost every platform they made. So they probably didn't feel the need to publish a long list for every possibility.
