Yeah, I agree. I've thought about color matching the bumpers with the tan/pewter color and then going white on the grill. I'd get smooth bumpers for both front and back (I think) if I did that. I'm just taking things a little slowly because just like you can overdo chrome I think you can overdo the colormatch as well :) I also still haven't decided on what I want my end color to me as that'll decide for me how far I go with colormatching. I'm leaning towards the same thing you said and just painting the tan/pewter white. If I got that route then I'll probably leave the molding off as well. :hmm:

I gotta say, I do enjoy driving it a lot. I'll be annoyed this week until I have a chance to fix my door handle :)happy175:) but I don't think I'd be any happier in a new truck over the '98.

I would leave the tan to break it up a little. I'd honestly leave the molding an bumpers to. It looks great as is. No molding an all white with smooth bumpers screams power company truck to me. Just to plain, but it's your truck not mine....

^^^...and this is why I have had a hard time committing to this vision because I definitely don't want it to look "work truckish" and 99% of all work trucks are all white. In fact, I almost didn't buy this truck because of it being predominately white. If it wasn't for the tan along the bottom I wouldn't have bought it at all, in fact. Now that I've typed that out I guess i just answered my own question about going all white  Actually, this is the reason why when making my plans originally I wanted to go a completely different color like a dark green

I am thinking about removing that fender trim that goes around the wheel wells, though. :hmm:

Thanks for the feedback, Paul. I always like hearing ideas from both you and Bob (@Green79Scottsdale) :handshake:

I approve of the direction you are going with this truck. White diamond tricoat will set the white off.

Thanks, stew. I'm betting that White Diamond Tricoat is an expensive paint and if you ever screw it up most likely very hard to match lol!! I do like the color though :)

I have been biting my tongue, but I need to say it... NO ROLL PAN! It seems out of place amongst your other mods, specifically the lift. If you were lowering it I would say heck yeah. If you do go with the roll pan, you almost need to remove the molding, in which case going all white makes a lot of sense. All white with a type of brushed grille insert to go with your machined wheels would look really nice. After seeing your new colormatched handles, you might need to go all the way and remove all the black on your truck. I can't quite picture that in my head.

Yeah, the roll pan listed in the "future mods" section is one of those things that I've had in the past and liked but will most likely not do for the same reasons you listed :)

The color matched handles will look good. The handles are supposed to show up tomorrow and I'll get them into the paint shop immediately so hopefully I'll get them back within a day or two and get them installed. The side affect it may have is I may need to color match my mirrors after that or something along those lines. I'll post up pics as soon as I get them installed. I really need to take some good pics of it anyway because I really haven't done that since I've owned it

Matching the mirrors might be a little to far but I personally don't like everything matched. Not on a truck anyway. I'm just weird I guess?

I've never been a fan of all color matched on a truck. IMO, the black mirrors, door handles etc add contrast to the color, especially with clean black tires.

Someone should do a photoshop job for me and color match my handles white so that we can all visualize it :D

I like the look of the handles they had on the C3500-HD that were also used on the bigger medium duty trucks...

Yeah I've seen that done and I'm not really a fan unless the truck is lifted or something. They'd look real awkward on mh truck IMO
