I wish the best for you concerning health.

I would have to say you cornered the market on mid 50's GMC's. All these trucks have stories. how did the one have "0" miles on it?

I am still looking over the auction now..

Wow, what a collection!

Hope your health concerns improve.

I'm looking for a good 8' or 9' bed for a early 50's GMC, looks like you have a few, but Texas is a long drive from South Dakota :(

SD is not that far from TX. I found several of these trucks in SD, and rather enjoyed the drive!
What is the VIN # for your early 50's GMC? The 9' box was supplied only for 1 ton trucks.

The COE'S were normally supplied as a cab and chassis, and after market builders supplied the body to order. I had a '48 GMC COE that was just the cab and chassis. I sold it to a local guy who took the cab off to drop it on a later model 1 ton frame. I still have the chassis with the motor and trans installed. It's yours for the taking, just bring at least a 20' trailer with a winch (not a wally world wannabe winch!). I'll even treat you to some real TX BBQ from a local eatery.

Mike, that's tempting, I'll have to think about it. I don't know if the cab mounts are the same as mine, it seems like I read that they changed during that body style. The frame under mine has been cut and shortened, and a bunch of crap welded onto it (and not nice welds or material). There is no engine, transmission, or rear axle, so I was planning to put the cab on a P20 frame that I have and Running a pickup type box.
