Hey guys I am from the middle of the mitten here in michigan and I love the SQUARES here is the stepside I have been working on. It used to be a plow truck but I removed the plow and put it on a different truck.
I also have a beater truck I use for bogging in the mud at local play bogs. Both of them are 1986's but totally different.

I have had various squares in fact I did the cardinal sin and put a ford body on a blazer frame but it turned out to be a great mud bogger none the less. so dont let the last pic fool you it had all chevy 73-87 parts under there with one exception the divorced 205 was dodge. I had to get rid of it though because I did hate having the ford body on it. Now my bogger is a true one breed chevy.

Welcome to the site! Really nice stepside man, love it. I'm wondering how that's working out on the black truck, do the tires rub much or did you do some cutting and I just cant tell from the angle? What size tires/lift is on it anyway? And the Exploder, lol, I bet you were the belle of the ball once the ford boys realized it was all bowtie (pretty much) underneath!! Cool toys dude!

I had 40s that I run on this truck but got a killer deal on the 44" boggers so I havent run on them yet but I did cut the front fenders to make it so I could fully turn, but more needs done. I have plans to bob the rear ..... we shal see what money will permit. It has 6" lift with rear shackle flip ...no blocks. The front has 6" with 2" blocks but its just a mud truck anyway. this season is prob. not in the cards for me because its getting tore down. next year it should be rocking a big block if all goes as planned.

Any other time I would say "FRONT BLOCKS?!?!" But I see you have the tail lights sheet metal'ed over lol definitely a mudder. Only thing I'd suggest is, if it's a solid block with the centering pin nub and the recess on the other side for the leaf spring centering bolt, grind off the nub then drill the hole all the way through and get longer centering bolts and bolt the block to the spring pack, like a Zero Rate AAL. It would suck if one of those spit out in the bog. You'd never be able to find it, and the front end would be moving all around (like mine did when it spit out a front wedge shim).

Welcome to the site. Nice pics of the trucks. My favorite is the black truck with big tires and lift.

Welcome from North East Texas. Like the Stepside, Love the Longbed, and that is the best thing you can do to a Ford, put it on a Chevy plate form.
