No compression fittings on air ride, but this same thread sealant is far bettern than teflon, even when used on compression fittings. A small droo is all thats needed to seal the threads
I know my copper oil line has a ferrule and seats in the gauge and compresses on the tube as it's tightened and doesn't leak.

Sorry for not responding earlier. Reason I started this thread is

Work. So, PO installed a mechanical gage where a clock would
Go. Well, when engine gets warmed up oil pressure shows 0.
Engine runs great, no knocks. Oil pressure connection is located above oil filter. Checked orig gage electrically and it seems to be
Good. Bought new sender and putting a T in line and will be able
To monitor both Gages. Am thinking when PO cut copper tubing,
He squashed tubing when cutting it off, and might be losing
Pressure at idle. 55# pressure when cold. In Florida now, but
Will do this procedure in spring. Sound logical?

I have a factory mechanical oil pressure gauge, I believe it came out of a 1974. and yes I use the copper tubing. highdesertranger
