Does anyone have any firsthand knowledge of these fenders? I'm concerned about them having the usual aftermarket/repop/worn-out die problems I've seen in the past. If these are trash is there a better option? I've been looking for some OEM fenders but in Michigan they are scarce.

Apparently there are some nicer repops available now, but I don't think those are them. The title says "driver quality" and in the description it says "standard quality". I think they are the same low quality stamping that's been on the market for decades.

I also seem to remember that the nicer fenders cost over $300.

I bet @TotalyHucked knows who pedals the nicer stampings.

I'm going to have to cut some fenders up for my Slosh Tubz install and I am trying to decide if I do it to a pair of good fenders or some OEM fenders. Seems a shame to cut up something good but if I could find something that's close and wouldn't take too much work to make fit correctly I think I'd go that route.

The premium ones from key parts are numbers 0850-003 and 0850-004 for 73-80. They run about 250 each on summit but are out of stock at the moment.

@bucket is right, those are not the nicer stampings, those are the same "crash parts" fenders made by Tong Yang that have been around for decades. We currently sell them, they're not terrible but they're about a gauge and a half too thin. We're in the middle of developing our new "premium" ones and we'll discontinue the Tong Yang's when we're done.

I haven't had my hands on them but I have heard those Key Parts ones are supposed to be new tooling as of about a year ago

Here's the fit of the OER fender I purchased 2 years ago. The fit isn't perfect, and the metal is noticeably thinner than the original. But my truck is more of a play toy, not a show truck

Thank you for the pictures, this is exactly what I was trying to avoid. In all fairness, the OEM fit and finish is just marginally better.

Yikes, that's the worst fender I've ever seen lol. We really don't get any complaints on the ones we sell other than the "wish it was OE thickness". I've never seen a bodyline curve like that :Whoa:

I've seen some doosies, lol. Some of them over the years have been shaped wrong in every area of the fender. They tend to pop seams too.
