How loud should it be when doing 50 mile per hour? I have carpet floor, auto trans. It is gear sound i hear.. It has the right amount of oil..

np205 are known to have a gear noise, Just how loud yours is compared to the normal noise is unknown to me

mine wasnt loud at all in my 79 3/4 ton long bed

It seems to me to be loud. but it has oil.. 75000 miles on it.. maybe its just the speed it spins with the short tires and tall gears.. 456 and a 235/85/16

The 205 is gear driven not chain driven, so there will be that noise unless it's different than normal to you. Check the diffs also.

What rpm are you at?

The 205 is gear driven not chain driven, so there will be that noise unless it's different than normal to you. Check the diffs also.

What rpm are you at?

There is no tach in this ole girl.. 2700 to do 55 mph
