NP203 boot

Has anybody had any luck with a universal leather shift boot for their 203 that works with the stock trim ring, or comes with one that will work? I'd like to retain the shift plate if possible, but I can get a ball with the pattern instead if I have to. I got the one from USA1, but it just doesn't look as good as the original. It'll let down the interior once I get done with it. Need something nice. Thanks.

Have you looked around for an original, nos GM boot? I had bought one on ebay several years back.

Have you looked around for an original, nos GM boot? I had bought one on ebay several years back.

I've been looking. Nothing but used. Some are in OK shape. But I think a leather one would look really nice in the truck. I might have to just have one made at an upholstery shop. If my mom was still alive, she'd be able to make me a nice one.
