I bought this over 10 years ago for use on a 1982 C10 non-tilt column, but didn't need to use it. As I recall, it serves as a bearing on the lower end of the shift bowl. I do see that it's listed for hundreds of 70s-80s GM vehicles, from trucks to Corvettes. And if you need one, you probably know the part number!
The part is new, but it's been taken out of its original package. You can see the faded P/N above the GM logo.
