I'm not good at troubleshooting elec problems. My brake lights quit working, but the
Directionals work fine. Checked the brake fuse and it was good. Even put new one
In. Still no brake lights . Need some direction. My truck is a 87 chev , R10, 2 w/d,
Short box. Thanks.

I'd check the brake light ground. Or the switch.

Before doing anything, push and pull the hazard switch button a couple times. I have “repaired” funky taillight issue more than once with this method.

Check for power on the orange wire of the brake switch. No power? Check the fuses, broken wire, etc. check for power on the white wire with the brake pedal pushed down. No power on the white wire, but power on the orange? Replace the brake switch. If you have power on the white wire, check for power on the white wire at the turn signal switch connector. If you have power, and everything else works the way it should, replace the turn signal switch.
