So, started working on my list of stuff to do to the truck today and changed the brake fluid first, it looked like coffee with chocolate. Then i proceeded to test the alternator. The other day while driving it i had radio going when I blew the horn and three things stopped working: the stereo, the horn, and cab light. Also I have four square headlights, only one works, the top one on the driver's side. Also, the dimmer switch, that little stubby guy on the left of the steering wheel? I think that's the high beam switch and it's not engaging. I have no idea how these lights are supposed to work! Lol. Are the top ones regular and the bottom ones high beams?

Your horn, can light and radio are all the same fuse so that's just a fuse replacement. Not sure why using the horn would cause it to pop but there's a place to start :)

I'm having brake problems, and spark from stop slot in the fusebox so started exploring brake switch malfunction possibilities. This is what I got so far. I'm no electrician, but I wondered why the brake light switch was wired in the upper left of the fuse box instead of at the stop fuse holder...? Ponder. Anyway, the wire I cut was to brake control box. I'm not using it and pulled it's fuse ( the fusebox for that is the one under the hood, the after market, 1st row bottom slot)but both it and my brakes lit up and stayed lit until I pulled the fuse! And it sparkled!! So I disconnected the toggles used for the roll bar lights and used the 4way plug he had for that, tapped into the dark green, yellow, and brown wires underneath for slide in camper lights. I had never tested the brakes, and that fuse popped the day after I got the truck. So, yesterday, while testing lights, all the truck lights worked except brakes. Then, for the first time, I stuck a new fuse in and zap! It didn't kill the fuse, just sparked and scared the crap out of me! my brakes and controller lit up and stayed lit. So I disconnected the battery, and cut wire to elect brake controller. And tore into the brake switch, rapped some tape around it where wires were exposed a bit. Also, when battery is hooked up, there is continuous juice in both the wires coming out of the switch, not sure how to fix it.this Any ideas?!
