Hey guys, just to introduce myself.

New member, based in north east england.

Currently not an owner but looking to buy one, i bought another well known american pickup a few years ago and got the bug, its not the prettiest but i f#%$*#g love it! (Don’t scream, its a 2003 4.7 V8 regular cab Dodge Ram).

I’ve made another post about a K10 i’m looking at.

Cheers
Jordi
Welcome friend! One thing you should know is that pre 1975 vehicles, and certain 1975 and 76, such as the Heavy Chevy, don't have a catalytic converter and don't have to be smog checked. Something to keep in mind!

Anything older than 40yrs in the UK, as long as it meets certain requirements for originality, don’t require any annual inspections or emissions checks.

Cheers from California! Keep us posted if/when you pick up an old square body. Are they at all common in the UK?

Chevy / GMC are probably the least common. Hence why i bought the Dodge, plenty about. Most common over here are the Rams and F series Fords usually 150s or 350s. Even the later Chevys are quite rare and usually appear in the form of a well spec’d newish Tahoe/Suburban or a Camaro.
