I have a 1984 Silverado that I have been working on the last two summers. I'm 62, teach, airbrush artist, pinstriper, hand metal engraver. I had the pleasure of working with my father for many years on trucks and cars, two of which I still have. He passed away two years ago and to honor him I took my 1983 GMC and his 1984 Silverado and made one that represented both of us. Dad's cab and chassis, the rest off mine. Both needed lots of work but it has been a labor of love. All the work has been outside under a tarp by myself. Lowered 4"in the rear, 3.5" in the front. No cutting coils here). Lots of rust removal and replacement. As my father would say, "do it right the first time and never do it again". 350 with a 700R4. Every time I touch the truck it reminds me of my father. When I'm finished with it and gone it will go to my daughter.
