So I didn't get the burb. I did notice and correct me if I'm wrong... When spinning the rear wheels and the transmission is in neutral... Should the drive shaft be spinning? While spinning the wheels, the drive shaft wanted to spin but couldn't.

In neutral the drive shaft wanted to spin but couldn't?
Did one wheel turn the opposit direction? Sometimes the gear lube adds enough resistance to cause the drive shaft to turn slightly while spinning the wheel. Was the tcase in 4x, 2x or neutral?

Yes other wheel was spinning the opposite direction. I figured drive shaft had to spin to figure out the gear ratios

Yes, it does need to spin. Turn the drive shaft and count the revolutions versus one wheel revolution.
