Hello All!

I recently purchased my first square body, a 1987 V10 305/sm464/np208. The truck originally had a TBI V6. I’ve never owned a classic car or truck before so I have a lot to learn!

Great looking project! I just got my first square body too, also a 1987 V10! Mine is way uglier than yours, and a long bed. 1/2 Ton Silverado. What caught my eye is your sticker. Am I wrong, or does yours NOT have a paint code, just like mine? If it does, where is it? My uncle apparently ordered everything 1987. Mine also has an engine upgrade, from the 5.7 TBI 350 to a GM Goodwrench Vortec 350 short block with the former engine’s stuff on it in the late 90’s. Pictures coming. Can’t wait to see what you do with yours. My mama said she wished mine was red. I’ve had classics, but old Lincoln and Cadillac big bodies mostly. Not a poor man’s sport. Both had a 3-4x multiplier on part cost vs. Chevy. That’s what got me back into appreciating trucks. I was a Fall Guy fan when it was in first runs HAHA! These guys on here know a lot, hope they don’t laugh too hard at my various failed attempts at body work![emoji3061]

I believe my paint code is 72U which indicates Medium Garnet Red Mettalic could be wrong though
