Awesome. Transplant that 6.0 LS set up in your 82 and scrap the rest.

Nice pickumup truck You got there.
I notice that white must be the new color to have, seems there is a LOT of white truck types of vehicles running around.
Must be so companies can buy a white vehicle and not have to worry about getting the same color for the rest of the fleeeet.

In this truck its literally true, its an off lease truck from Chesapeake Energy, and i bought it for a field truck, the roads out in NW Oklahoma can be brutal on a suspension.

Which was great it has all the toys in the dash i want, XM, Onstar, Blue Tooth, the onboard computer stuff (i miss from my 03) dual zone air, power seats with lumbar... but rubber floorboards i can hose out.

So far have taken it to town a couple times, it rides about like the one dad has (his is quad cab and LTZ)

Its my counteraction to a Prius! with its 15 and if i'm light on the foot 16 MPG

No the 82 may end up with a 383 stroker once i'm all said and done

Other than that this redneck is going hi-tech in the truck, blue tooths, sat phones, sat radio (which i've had in all my vehicles since 03)

Dad has had his for 3 years i never paid attention but this thing is rated for 9200 lbs, the rear axle and rear end is massive on this puppy. I need to find some nerf bars for the short wimmin folk to ride with me and a B&W turnover goosneck hitch to hook onto the trailers with.

The only problem other than normal wear and tear i need to ferret out a problem with the backup camera system which only real man would use when hooking up to a bumper pull trailer.

I know what you mean. I miss my 2000 z71, 02 Avalanche Z71 , 03 Avalanche Z66 (My Favorite, all loaded leather, adjustable pedals, seat heaters and all) My 04 Crew Cab (equipped the same as my 03 Avy 2nd favorite), and my 05 X cab 2wd Cloth Seat (My least favorite, the Divorce made me have to trim down to cloth, less bells and whistles and no 4x4) I've had some very very nice trucks. Friggin Divorce and Disabilities take away just about everything you own. Now goes the last house after giving up 2 rentals.

Very nice truck you got there wish i could afford something like that once in awhile i get to use my uncles 07 sierra with the 6.6 road smooth until he put mud terrains on but its still smoother then my dads 04 f150. FYI he also has a 04 2500 hd with the 6.0 and +250k miles that gets beat on everyday by my little cousin and the motor just wont die

With the exception of the styling department, these new trucks are light years ahead of our squarebodies. I sometimes miss my '05 Sierra. Only thing it didn't have was a sunroof. I ended up trading it for my square, but the trade was with my dad. We basically switched names on the titles, as all along neither of us cared if the other drove "his" truck. All we had to do was ask.

I miss the 03 Z66 Avy most. It also had all the Bells and Whistles. Power Heated Memory Seats, Adjustable Pedals, lowering seat exit which was nice for my bad back and the short wife at the time. And she bring the pedals back up. Always worried me as close as she sat to the air bag that she'd get her **** knocked off her chest, so she was able to move the pedals up and get off the air bag a bit. And all on memory settings with mirros, radio stations and seat positions and all. Which with 12way power seats and a bad back are awesome then add heat, I loved that truck. But once I got the seat just where my back was good, then she'd get in and move the seat, then it would take me forever to get it back in my backs happy spot, so the memory resolved that issue. Loved that truck. And it rode so damn good too.
