Hello, my name is David, i’m from Asturias, in the north of Spain.
I’m a very happy owner of two Chevy Suburbans .
I have a:
- 77 Suburban K20 Silverado, sbc 350, in very bad conditions.
And
- 79 Suburban K20 Silverado, sbc 350 too, in good conditions.
I’m working in this one now to pass the inspection here and can drive it.
First of all, I want to apologize for the bad handwriting. Sometimes i use a translator to write.

My 79 arrived home last 2 weeks from Barcelona.

I have bought and i will need to buy several parts to complete and restore this Suburbans, but the firts, i’m working in the 79. It’s the most easy to finnish.

Nice on both counts, that 77 looks like a good starting point, looks like the climate has been relatively kind to it, could be much worse, like say abandoned in a warehouse in Toledo, Ohio for 20 years.

Joking aside, that retainer on the hubcap is something I’ve never seen before. Is that mandated where your from or just an extra precaution?

Welcome Spain. Nice trucks. I spent time in Spain working at the ASCO Nuclear station, I think we stayed near the beach at Hospitalet de l’Infant. It was always nice to see American cars and trucks on the road. Many were vintage and in fair condition.

Yes!! Ascó! I know it! And Flix! And Hospitalet! My father worked in this nuclear station several years! For repairs.

Hello. the retainer and the rim are not OEM. I think because the OEM are in 16.5”, and here is very dificult to find tires for this measure. This rare rims are in 16”, easy to find tires.
My 77 has the OEM rins in 16.5”

I would like to find the oem rims in 16” for my 79.
