Hey, just signed up. I have owned my '82 Silverado since '95, bought it from the original owner when I was 17. I had a 383 stroker build for it with angle plug corvette heads, built up turbo 350 with a stall (don't remember what rpm) and 342 rear end. Its been a long time since the truck was on the road, let alone ran. Likely 15 years! Lots of nostalgia with this truck, I'm thinking its time to bring her back to life. I look forward to getting to know the forum.

Here she is, has had one repaint. I have 2 sets of factory rally's, centre caps and beauty rings for her. Not sure how I ended up with 2 sets, oh well! Bought the current wheels used from a local tire shop many years ago, only ever seen 1 other set around here and they are at my neighbours house on an mid 70's F150. I put the bumperettes on, never had them from factory. Likely will be removed to clean up the lines a little. Rear step bumper was factory but now has a sport bumper, that will likely stay. Old blue crushed velvet buckets and a console on the inside. Would like to do the interior in leather, will have to investigate that a little more. Plan on putting all new sheet metal on except cab, and hood. I have been looking around the net for suppliers, any recommendations as far as body panels? I hear some to the aftermarket stuff is thin and ill fitting.

Auto Metal Direct is a good source for metal. I don’t know what the damages will be going to Canada. I’m usually kinda cold towards aftermarket wheels, but those look really nice. I don’t know what I would choose in your shoes. The bumper guards are not the most desirable in the community on here, but they aren’t repopped so they fetch a pretty penny online if they’re in good shape. I like them, but I’m not in love with them like a certain member on here. *cough cough* Anyway, welcome aboard!
