My name is James 45 Cleveland Ohio. My truck is a 1979 Chevy Chyanne k20 Longbed Full time 4x4 No motor. Lots of questions. First question. Do I have to shorten the bed to have a badass l lowered squarebody muscle truck? Opinions?

No you don't! Long beds are plenty cool, and more useful as a truck if you need it.
Welcome to the forum, from Houston, TX.

Welcome from the Texas Panhandle.

I like the stance it already has. Just needs a little more tire to fill up the wheel openings some.
That paint looks pretty good. Some rubbing compound and wax would bring it out even more.

Long beds ride better too.
I really can't imagine lowering a 4 wheel drive.

Those guys are correct, don't shorten it, don't slam it. As far as the engine goes, I recently put a Chevy crate HT383 in my 84 K20. I think it's great, but it likes plus gas. Think about it. When I bought mine there was 1 left at Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, FL. BTW, welcome aboard.

Wow!!!! Thanks fellas. I'm pleasantly surprised with the attention my post got. I wasn't sure that I could find help this easily. I just realized last night that slamming a K20 isn't what you do with a K20.. Haha.. I appreciate the comments. I'll be back..

Welcomes from Toby in ca! Def don’t have to convert to short bed even tho it’s considered a “cooler” looks from the masses. I’ve seen some bad ass long beds out there check out gasratz muscle truck on ig. Also do you man. Eff what people think it’s your build it’s your build not theirs. That’s what makes this so much fun.
