New to the Forum ..... Been messin with chevy trucks all my life . Right now I have a couple of different ones I am working on . Gathering parts for a 78 GMC 2wd Blazer , gonna drop it and redo the body and paint . Still nothing set in stone on it ..... Forming a plan if you will. I also have an older chevy (68) that I am doing a LS swap and porterbuilt suspension on. Also in the middle of repainting my 96 Crew Cab that has been turned into a 1/2 ton shortbed from a 1-ton dually . Then I also have a 93 Indy 500 Pace Truck with a 4-6 Bel-Tech drop with Budniks. Pretty easy to say I am into chevy trucks ....... LOL . We actually run a shop in Tulsa specializing in Drops and Lifting all year models ...... so we get paid to do what we love to do.

Pace truck was my Dads ...... My Mom gave it to me when he passed away. 4-6" Bell-tech, Bell-tech sway bars , 17" Budniks he bought at least 15 years ago or more, steel cowl hood , have more plans for it .

Crew Cab is a 1-ton longbed dually that got totalled , cut it in 2 and shortened it up and then converted to half ton. In the pictures it has front and back and side to side bags. Now has 4-6 Bell-tech static drop, steel cowl hood. Have about 75% of the bodywork done now, gonna paint it Dodge Viper blue and White I think and then sell it.

I do like the 93 Indy trucks! Cool crew cab also. My plan was the oposite, to make a heavy duty Indy truck. I almost bought a black Linginfelter 96 K2500 GMC Suburban at Mecum to turn into an Indy Suburban like the die cast bank. I have also thought about converting a 2000 Crew cab short box to look like a 93.


Some place I have a photo of a 93 truck with a bike in back painted like a Indy truck. I will see if i can locate it. It was on Ebay 10 years ago or so.

Seeing your bike with the 93 reminded me of this bike and truck on eBay. Seems like it was in Texas.

I have always like the nicely modified Indy trucks. The short bed especially need lowered. If that 96 Gmc would not have been so much I would have made a heavy duty pace truck trilobite. The 500 only had two real 4X4 suburbans in 93 and I located one of them. The other was in FL. I'm always watching for a nice pick up.

Appreciate the comments guys ...... ! I dont have much in the way of pics on the blazer or the 68 right now , just a few piles of parts that have been gathered for them. Have so much work going in the shop right now .... I dont get to touch my own stuff .......

My brother had a 93 Astro Van pace car for a while.

Before my dad passed he had a 78 corvette pace car, 82 camaro pace car, 86 yellow corvette convt pace car , 93 pace truck, NEW 93 camaro pace car, a 95 corvette pace car and a 98 corvette pace car. He sold all of those off when he got sick except for the pace truck.
