Seems they are made by Mile Marker recovery gear? Summit sells them, but these have been on this truck since the 80's.

Just a surprise to me as I have never seen nor heard of this particular brand. The guy I'm getting the truck from said they work great.

Good Job on the research there buddy. I feel alot better leaving them there now if they are working properly. So it's more of a model name for Mile Marker lockouts.

From what little I read about the maker. Seems they are the hubs used on the Military spec Hummers.

Oh something else to add. It started out as a 400/400 truck but now has a 350 from a 69' Camaro and still has the Turbo 400 transmission. Not much i care to change on the truck besides the stereo and the seat cover. Even has an old Escort radar detector and is still setup for a CB.

Man, I'm extremely jealous of that shop...

Truck is looking awesome. Love those wheels.

My buddies shop is huge! He's been working on it for years and is very proud of his shop. You could do just about anything vehicle wise in that shop. I hope to have a shop similar to that one day.

Just to give you guys an idea. This is what was parked beside my truck; made mine feel tiny. lol

From what I've heard Selectro hubs were supposed to be pretty good, but I'm unsure of what makes them different in design from others. I might have read somewhere they were OE on Dodges at some point too. And I had no idea they were still in production.

Well got the truck and got it home last night. Drove it around for a bit yesterday. Towards the end of the night, I noticed my belts were starting to make a squeal. We checked the belts before hand and they appeared to be in good order. Well at some point on the way home, I lost my alternator belt and started to lose my powersteering belt. So not sure what caused it. I checked the alt and the powersteering pump; both appeared to still be spinning without locking up or having a drag. Wondering if my clutch fan isn't messed up. The truck never got above normal temp at all last night.

Did you lose it because it's off alignment, or just dry rotted and broke?

Not sure, thinking it may have been old belts. Truck ran fine all day without any squeaks.
