I bought my first ever truck and i'm trying to figure out if a 1973-1974 c10 radiator support will fit in a 1980 c10. the reason i'm trying to do that is because the radiator support that i have right now is rusted and i also want to put a 1973-1974 c10 grille on the 1980. Thank you!

It wont.
The core support is different but then again 1980 was a bastard year..it still wont fit..those grills are super cool..ive got a 74 that I couldnt fit on my 75..

Whats your backup plan? Cuz this one aint gonna work im afraid. :(

the 1980 core support differs based on headlight design. round or square eye?

if round eye, its a match but with extra holes and cutouts on the 1980, im not sure what all 100% those holes are for, but they are the small cutouts all over. not many different ones.

UP till recently, LMC listed 74-80 as one #, 81+ another. now the 1980 one is its own IF round eye. probably a slight mfg change that can be easily made but for sake of accuracy thing.

No. For real! You ought see this xxxtra clean assed 74 truck grille I have.

P.O.s were trying to put it on the 75 I had and gave it to me with the sale.

I ought list it on eBay...it's sooooo perfect!

Right now it's hanging on my kitchen wall lol...appreciating. ;)

my bad, didnt see the 73-74 only one or remember that it was special.
based on photo, id say differences would be emissions / aux cooling accomodation, they should bolt in place of eachother.
