Need help with my 700r4 TTC wiring harness

I have a wiring harness for the 700R4 TTC and one of the wires on the plug for the tranny goes to a EGR bleed solenoid connecter (according to my wiring diagram). My engine has zero EGR and emissions on it. What do I do with that EGR bleed connecter? Do I just need to tuck the connector away and leave it as it is? or do I need to splice the wires together for the TCC to work properly? Please help!!!

Post your wiring diaghram but do not splice the wires together.

Looks to me like tcc and egr bleed are both picking up power at splice 383 in which case,you don't need to do anything. Hopefully @Jgonick will read this he's awesome with wiring issues.

Do you still have the transmission low vacuum switch and thermal vacuum switch?

I do have the low vacuum switch but not the thermal switch.

You hooked the low vacuum switch up to manifold?

If you have that and brake switch then should be complete.

From what I have read 3 wires to trans means you have 3rd and 4th lockup.

Going through this currently. I plan to keep tvs.

A few things to watch for
Potentially led lights that may interfere with brake circuits. I don’t plan on using them, so haven’t investigated

Lower vacuum engine not producing a high enough vacuum signal.

Okay thank you. I am going to hook the vacuum line to a "Timed Vacuum" Port on my Edelbrock Carburetor. So can I just move the EGR wires out of the way and leave them alone I take it? Thanks!

The EGR connection is optional. Having it hooked up properly gives you lockup in 3rd gear, but you don't really need it. You can bypass the low vacuum switch as well if you want, it helps with drivability. It unlocks the TCC when you get on the throttle, which is a "low vacuum' scenario.


Here is a snip of the lockup circuit for 2wd trucks. 4wd have the unobtainium 4wd relay setup that disables lockup when in 4wd
