I spoke with a guy at Advanced Adapters about what I need to install a NV4500 into my 79 Chevy. I want the bell housing with the mechanical clutch linkage setup.
But they want $630 for their adapter to the NP205 transfer case. Has anyone tried using a later T case with the NV4500? I had a NP241 once and thought the shifting on it was too temperamental. I don't know if the 241 bolts to my 2005 NV4500 but the NP261 my NV4500 was bolted to is still at the wrecker's where I got the tranny for about the same price as the adapter. My 1979 NP205 works real well, but I am not too thrilled at the cost of the adapter. Thanks
