Everyone that I know with a Tundra has liked them too. However, I absolutely cannot stand the fact that the front and rear door handles don't match, lol.
Lol I’ve never been a fan of the tundra styling. They’ve always looked funny to me.

I appreciate everyone’s input. I think I’m just going to pass on this one altogether. There have just been too many red flags. Like it’s just not meant to happen.

Agree, if it isn't the right deal then it isn't the right deal, but a little puff of blue smoke randomly is not necessarily the kiss of death either. If it's every cold startup, thats another story

I haven’t seen another puff of smoke since.

Full disclosure, after talking to him about it, he made an offer I couldn’t refuse. I went ahead and bought it and have been daily driving it for a week now. Not another hint of smoke, but I did go ahead and change the pcv valves yesterday just to be on the safe side. So far, I love this truck. It has great power, rides and drives great. And has plenty of useful features, without having a bunch of useless crap.

One thing it does need, is the overhead console. The door is broken. If anyone knows where I can find one cheap, let me know please.

It happens. I’ve seen this on other vehicles.
Namely our 2016 Dodge Charger.
2 or 3 times now, totally randomly it’s burped blue smoke on startup. Never after sitting a long time, just random. And it’s one and done.
Congrats on the “new” truck. I drove a buddys Titan for a while. It was a nice truck. Swapped trucks because we had a guest in town that couldn’t drive a stick shift and my wife’s truck was a stick. Only issue is it was a deer magnet.
I almost hit one and then another deer sideswiped the truck when she was driving it! So maybe find the deer magnets and throw those away. You should be good then...

a 2009 Nissan Titan, 126k miles. 5.6 liter engine. My father in law bought it a month or so ago to flip, today it blew a huge blue cloud on startup. So now I’m concerned. I’ve read that it could be anything from a clogged pcv valve to piston sleeve scarring from pieces of the catalytic converters being sucked in. Apparently the manifolds on these trucks are known to crack, and when that happens the uneven exhaust pressure can suck parts of the converters back into the engine. Should I take a gamble on this thing? Or run like my hair is on fire?

I think you answered your own question when you asked it but maybe it will help if you read it again.

That's a lot of it's.

It is an ugly truck anyways...really ***** lookin.

Tbh I think the full size Toyota would stomp the dog crap out of a full size Nissan.

*protip*

I understand the first TUNDRA pickups - look at 2005s - they are seriously overbuilt and seriously scaled back as the line developed.
That's more like it if youre gonna get a *** truck, you could present that with pride, but not so much with a Titan huh?

You know what to do.

Look!

They got a video of exactly what we're talking about!
It's like Christmas and stuff.

Jeez dude tell me how you really feel. I bought it and changed the pcv valves, no smoke ever since. I’ve had it over a year now. And I didn’t think it was that bad looking of a truck….

Better looking than a Tundra, for sure.
