This,and put an appropriate sized breaker at the end of the run at the compressor.The source doesn't play a part in the picture, only the load.. 10-3 is good to 30 amps at 50 feet, dryers, appliances, and some AC systems.. At 22 amps, you're kinda close.. To be safe, I'd suggest 8-3.. YMMV......
Yep. Generator's owners manual says same thing. When I run the whole house on it. Let it run for about 3-5min, then one flip one breaker at a time. Runs smooth.DON'T run the compressor until the generator has come up to snuff.
