Hi,

I have been looking for quite a while and unable to locate windshield to hardtop brackets for a 1973 K5 Blazer. If anyone has a set or knows where I can find them? It would be much appreciated.

Seems to me if you have the correct dimensions (most importantly hole spacing) you can find somebody who is good with CAD, get him to draw you what's needed, and then send the design to an outfit like sendcutsend.com and have them made. Or do it in the yard with a plasma cutter and a drill press. It doesn't look like those brackets need to be stamped in order to work; that was just the cheapest way for GM to mass-produce them.

I am hoping that I can find a set. Someone contacted me on here and they said they had a set. It ended up being a scam. It's a bummer because I have done several transactions via forums such as this, and now my trust has been ruined. Such a bummer.

Sorry to hear that. This seems like about the last place on Earth somebody would pull something like that.

Decided to make my owner brackets out of 5" x 3" x 3/16 aluminum stock. Then glued 1/16 rubber sheeting to the inside of the bracket to protect the paint on the windshield side of the vehicle. Came out nice and the stock was relatively cheap, less than $20.

Was is a brand new member without any posts? There are some scammers that look at wanted ads in forums they are not a member of, then become a member just so they can private message the interested party and then scam them.

I fell for that once, about 15 years ago. Never again.
