All,
My battery tray is the worst looking component in my engine bay. As I'm sure most of you can picture it, it is totally corroded and rusted(barely there) from battery acid. I just ordered an "OER Authorized" battery tray from Classic Indistries. Any insider/been there done that/ knowledge would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure I can figure it out, but specifics on this year(87, throttle body injected) and any of the quirks these squares bring about with particular jobs will go a long way. Thanks in advance!!

I replaced mine, plus added a second on the driver side. It wasn't terrible. I think I had to drill a hole through the fenderwell on both sides to bolt in the leg brace, otherwise was easy

It was toasted. Gone now. Great idea though.

Similar to the underhood storage boxes on the later OBS trucks....

Like this....goes on the driver's side, in place of a second battery. OBS trucks have the main battery on the passenger side.
