I like the heat stove type myself. Electric isn't bad. I'll be doing manual in Crusty Biscuit when I swap in the vortec engine. It has the provisions for the cable in the dash and I have the original cable, and the GM Performance Intake doesn't have a setup for the heat stove type, and the vortec heads don't allow for the warm air type, so manual it will have to be. There's a lot of room under that hood, but not enough room for a Manuel. The '81 had the warm air style but that has been changed over to electric. The only thing I don't like about it is it opens faster than the engine warms up. Running it on cold days I have to feather the throttle at low speeds until the engine is good and hot. Other than that it is a good setup.
