I see you removed both covers and the pan at the same time.

Wondering if i should remove and reinstall my front and rear covers while leaving the pan untouched. THEN do the pan last. Thoughts?
It's really a crap shoot. I've seen so many different ways that guys swear by. Like I said, I wouldn't take anything I said as gospel cuz I've failed at keeping leaks at bay so far lol. But the way I outlined above is following the book step by step, so that's probably what I'd stick to. Take everything off, do the alignment process with the rear/front covers first and then do the oil pan.

Ok no worries. Decided to take everything off. Trying to not make a mess.

Does anyone know if the flexplate bolts are reusable? I see no mention of it in Chiltons.

So i got around to doing the covers and the oil pan. The pan was the most finnicky for some reason. I put a healthy glob of rtv in the corners, checked, rechecked and torqued down. Then checked again, and somehow it had moved just out of spec. So i had to back off the bolts and readjust to my liking. I dont think that will be an issue but what are your guys thoughts. Ps the rtv was still wet, i never let it skin over, in fact i think i did let it skin over once and that is when i had a leak.
