When I bought my truck it came with a Chevy grill and after finally getting it running and driving I’m hoping to make it a gmc again. It’s extremely hard to find a 73-74 gmc grill on Craigslist, marketplace, OfferUp etc. so I was hoping someone in the forums would possibly have one lying around that I could buy.

Good luck buddy! Too bad, Holley has 73-74 Chevy grilles brand new for cheap cheap. And that style Chev and GMC are imo the best looking round eye grilles! I’d put one in the 77 if they fit.

You just need the right brackets, they sell a kit of them if you really want to do it

They'll fit, just need the brackets. We swapped a '73/74 grille on to our '76 shop truck

Technically no but it's very minor work to get one to fit. We swapped the core support on ours for a tech article
Gotcha. I’ll put it on the (long) to do list!
Edit, just looked, wasn’t it Holley had them on super sale? Now they’re $250 from Holley (brothers).

IDK how Holley stays in business with all these super sales they do. Makes no sense to me. The standard silver grille is $170 from us or $220 for the one with chrome accents. ALL of the brackets are $110 but you may not need them all depending on what braces your core support has (I can't remember off hand all the differences)

Same core support? Shoot I may look into that.
I've used the 3 piece bracket kit an stock core supports. It doesn't hit all the mounting holes for the grill but it enough that it stays on there.

My truck has a 74 gmc grill with the same 3 brackets (just oe ones) on its factory support.
