So I finally got around to installing my long tube headers today. I removed the rest of the exhaust including muffler for now until i can find a place that can weld me on some mufflers. It runs fine (loud as hell) when i step on the gas, but as soon as i let off the throttle, it backfires like mad. It got so bad I had to put the truck in neutral when i got off the freeway, which seemed to eliminate the problem.
Is this because of the fact that im only running headers? It would backfire a bit while decelerating before but now its so much worse.
