Probably will never know. Just a thought- If it happens again I would make sure the relay is grounded good. The original relay is grounded by it's casing.
Thank you for the advice. I didn’t know they had a relay. I thought it was straight power to the switches from the fuse box. Where’s the relay(s) located?
And another question as it sounds like you are very familiar with them, if they have a relay and the trigger power to the relay is switched through the ignition, my windows work all the time, even with the key off.
I suspected at some point they were re-wired to constant power, however the window power wires from the fuse box are switched (whichever one pink one, or idk was comparing to a wiring diagram) and everything tests out switched or not switched at the fuse box.
However nothing looks to be re-wired. All factory.
Maybe the relay is stuck latched?
