They won't really bend your door skins, maybe gouge the paint at the most. It would be covered of course. The mounting plate is the problem, the "feet" aren't always bent enough. You can try putting a little more bend in them and/or grinding the mounting surface in the right spots to help them sit more flat on the door.

I also should say I've never bought mirrors from LMC. But chances are super duper good that they sell the same replacement mirrors that the local parts stores used to sell.

I bought mine at LMC because years ago they were the only one with a right side wide-angle mirror. Mine are stainless and looking pretty beat up by now, but I installed them in about 2003.

@JoeR Jr see post #5 for my notes. My doors are original and had no issues of fit except for the lower stainless cover. Had I installed the washers between the barrel nut and the mirror flange, I would have had no issues.

How did it go? I'm thinking about ordering a set.

Has anyone used the convex mirror on the driver side?

I ordered the stainless mirror and the convex for the passenger side. If you use it on the drivers side it will say "Objects in Mirror are closer than they appear" upside down.

LMC hardware is cheap. I re-used the factory barrel nuts and screws to attach the mirror to the door. The retention to hold the mirrors in place is inferior to OEM. The hold going down the road, but slamming the doors will slightly put them out of adjustment. I'm sure I can tighten them up.

Cool, I'll probably end up ordering a set. I really want black mirrors though. I think first I'm going to try the k source replacement glass from advance auto and see if I can powdercoat my stock housings

I didn't like they way they fit. I ended up scoring a nice original set off another truck. I didn't return them to LMC, so if anyone is looking for a set I have them. They are missing one door gasket. I had to use one on mine.

I damaged my door gaskets when I installed mine and ordered a second set for after paint. The kit has some plastic washers that I assumed went between the mounting bolt and the mirror frame. I think if I had used the washer between the door and the mirror it would have spaced it out far enough, not to damage the raised edge on the gasket.
