Shopping for a dash pad for my Blazer and was looking at LMC. Read here that their pads were supplied by Dashes Direct, but when I asked LMC they said that was not true. They also didn’t volunteer who their supplier was. I figured maybe someone here would know.

Dashes Direct is out of my dash pads for maybe another month. May wait for them.

Was happy with the dash I bought for my 87 GMC from Cheyenne Pickup but they must have gone out of the dash pad business as they have had none for sale for many months.

Our's are Dashes Direct, looks like we've got one left in stock as of this writing. They fit great, I've put a couple in with no issue and I've talked to probably a few dozen others that have as well at this point, no complaints here

You guys are tempting me to start down the rabbit hole! The bezel has dropped in price for my truck. Then I see the dash pad is available for my truck on AMD.

My LMC dash said dashes direct on the box. That was about two months ago.
Can't remember which vendor I got mine from but it came double boxed with dashes direct part inside. It was for an 81 fit was eh.

I checked with Jegs but they couldn’t ship until mid-December, which is also when Dashes Direct told me they would have my dash available again. I think I’ll wait to hear from DD and order it then. Hopefully the fit will be OK.

Fit is ok. I have some waves in the top. It sits high near the VIN and sags a little at the center speaker then goes back up toward the right pillar. If I was building a show truck it would not work.

Unfortunately I am building a show truck. Finding a show quality dash pad seems akin to finding a Unicorn though. :emotions122:

You gotta wait for Cheyenne pickup parts or USA1 then.

Or find a good upholstery guy that can recover an OE one...

If you want a different color than black for the AMD pad, can you dye it another color, or does that not work with black? My original GMC dash pad is a real dark brown that coordinates with the lighter colors on the saddle tan interior. I’d like to go original color if it’s possible.

Yeah, there’s a guy down in Marysvile called Corbin’s Custom Upholstery. He just quoted me 775$ for a recover without speaker holes, and 925$ with speaker holes. I get that it will be show quality, but sheesh…

This thread kinda got me thinking. So my dash is horribly cracked. I put a carpet cover over top so it doesn’t really bother me, but…

I’d like a nice replacement. So, entry level is 300+for a dodgy outcome- bad fitment, warping, etc…or might get lucky.

More than 500 for a USA1 replacement, then shipping on top of that, for a nice quality replacement, but then you have to deal with USA1, and probably still won’t be perfect. But could be.

Or more than 700 for a guy to do it locally, guaranteed to fit like stock, high quality, can talk to them in person, and have actual follow up if something fails and has a resounding following online and reputation.

I’m beginning to think that, as ridiculous as that amount of money may be, is 350 dollars worth my sanity and frustration? That’s the question.

I requested a quote from Just Dashes to recover my existing dash. Haven’t got a price yet but figured it was worth exploring. That way I would retain my factory frame so fit should not be a question.

My dash was apparently recovered by an upholstery shop and has several seams and other issues. Doesn’t look terrible but not the look I want. (Old pic)

After my earlier dealings with USA1 my wife promised to euthanize me if I ever dealt with them again.:gr_guns:
