I'm pretty sure it doesn't have a body lift. Its been awhile since it was put together. But we did remove the bed last summer, and i don't remember a body lift. It might have one. I will look this weekend. Only thing left is the body.

Its a GM, d44, 4.10 with a full spool

It has a D60 Under it, is that a GM or Ford?

Thats a pre '78 3/4 ton D44 front axle with the large Spicer hubs.

It looks like it's got a big body lift because A) it's a small block and B) there's no distributor, carb or air cleaner.

Ford D60's also run them, so thats why i said.

Those are strictly D44 hubs. A D60 hub snout doesn't have a thick enough wall for the 3/8" allen head bolts that hold them on.

Ok, well it must be an optical illusion then because if you look at the picture with the black truck in it, the cab of his Chevy is about a foot taller than the bed is. And in the engine compartment photo, that motor looks teeny tiny in there. It looks as if you'd have to rappel down into the engine bay to work on it.

Yes I noticed the brake booster is about a foot taller than the motor. I think somebody used 3 foot chain link fence posts for lift blocks.

You guys going to make me get out in the cold and go check it out. lol...

The motor is dropped down in that pic with no transmission holding it up.

The more i think about it, the more i think it did have body lift. I think that is why we had to have new body bolts lol...

And i don't think it would have cleared the 42's with just 8inch suspension lift. Wouldn't be over 3inch body though. No fence post.

All you idiots, It does have a 3inch body lift ;) ... I can't beleive you didn't see it :runandhide:

Haha,I didn't think it did because i didn't remember the body lift, When we removed the bed. The bed was not bolted down, or have body left yet.
