Got a new (to me) company truck to use in my new job position. It has extremely yellowed lenses. I bought a 3M kit, on their dime, and started this evening. One down, one to go. Once I get done I'm going to do my Blazer.

I'm really sorry to say this but I hope you don't regret that purchase. I had an 07 Colorado for a year and it was the worst GM I have ever owned. 0/10 would not recommend. That said, wow, that 3M kit is really, really good.

Not a purchase. The company I work for gave it to me to drive. They've phased them all out but this one. It's next to go. It's definitely one of GM's worst, but it's free to me.

It took about 45 minutes to do the first headlight. Probably longer than normal due to the fact that I was using a slower drill than recommended.

Meguirs aluminum and mag polish also works great and its $8...available at most Autozone and O'reilly auto. It also works fantastic on polishing gold rings as well as of course aluminum and lexan

Agreed, the mag polish has many great uses. Plastic lenses are one of them.

Also great for scuffed CD's and DVD's. You know, if your the type of person that still uses those things.

Those 3M kits are great. When I worked in TLE at Walmart few years back they had these kits and took a little under an hour to do both headlights. With a light air gun and their sanding pads and polish I was impressed with how each car came out once they were done. I was skeptical about it when we were told we would start doing them but I was made a believer.

Great job and it is better than buying new or scouring the JY for another one that's not foggy and discolored.

I've been using toothpaste on plastic headlights for years :)
