Day....in garage...the led side marker bulbs look much brighter due to the camera quality and no flash. They are more noticeable then the incandescents ever were. I also installed led side markers in the tail lights as well.

Tail light led side markers..

I also included a pic of the led door light with the bowtie projection. That was also an easy project.

Did you get the flasher unit once all markers and tail lights were led?

Nope...no flasher unit used and all the side markers and other turn signals work as if they were incandescent bulbs. Most of the time when leds are installed, the circuit flashes crazy fast. All I did was replace the bulbs.

I purchased the led projector lights off Ebay (they cost around $15). They came pre wired...one wire for power, the other for ground. The install requires drilling a hole the diameter of the projector light housing. The complete kit purchased included a drill bit the size of the housing. Once I determined the placement that I liked best in the driver side door, I drilled the hole in the bottom of the door (approximately the center ). Next, I removed the lower door panel cover and drilled another corresponding hole in order to secure the housing and access the wires. Both the ground wire and the power wire were routed through the doors and to the underside of the dash. I connected the wire for power from the projector lamp to the power wire of the interior/dome light. The ground wire was connected to ground under the dash. I repeated the install for the passenger side door. Now whenever either of the doors are opened the projectors illuminate the ground.

The projectors are thin enough that when mounted in the underside of the doors, they don't interfere with the lower part of the cab when the door is operated. I suppose you could mount these just about anywhere on the truck. I have seen some mounted on the underside of the body. You could also wire them to a manual switch if you wanted.

Uh...ohh...looks like I lit the fuse for some projects. Seriously, it is really easy. The install took me about 1-1/2 hrs. I get a lot of thumbs up while parked at nightly shows. I dig the results. It's amazing how clear the logo is when lit up.
