I am reconditioning my leaf springs. Plastic shims (I don’t know what else to call them) came off the ends of the leaf springs. It looks like they are there to keep the ends of the springs from slapping/clinging on the others. Is it necessary to put these back? If I don’t, what problems will this cause? What are they called so I can order new ones?

Thanks!

If they’re not making noise, then it’s fine.
Plenty of leaf setups with no plastic shims
