Just replaced shocks and steering stabilizer. Observed, after I lowered the truck back to the ground, that the front leaf springs on my 86 k20 4x4 (former plow truck) are arched up slightly.

Is this proper or are they simply shot?

Thank U :)

When one of the leaves breaks or when they’re so sagged out that they can’t support the vehicle or load. Usually the bushings go bad before this happens. You can take the truck or springs to a spring shop. If the steel is still good, they can re-arc a spring. I’m not sure how that works on the flat front springs though.

Most people just buy new springs if the springs are worn out.
