Leaf springs

I have a 84 k10 and I need new leaf springs. I have seen some for sale from General Spring for a decent price but all the local places want way more for them. I am also confused about how many leafs I need. Does anyone know what came stock on these trucks?. Or the weight capacity? Would a 6 leaf with a 2200 pound capacity work? Thanks

I'd check out Rock Auto. They are a sponsor here so you can get 5% off. They list leaf springs by weight capacity and how many leafs are in the spring pack. There were several different options of springs available on all trucks. I bought my longer rear springs from them.
