I have a chinesium knockoff cordless chainsaw. Works well but will leak chain oil if left upside down. The case is designed to store it in upside down position. Bad design as it leaks all chain oil out if case is left stored right side up.
I just flip the case over when it's left in my square's toolbox and it doesn't leak out.
Interesting z I’ve seen that same complaint across the dewalt and kobalt. Part of me wonders if it’s a defect, and part of me wonders if it’s just first time saw owners that don’t know any better.

Rarely is a gas powered chainsaw stored upside down. Store your gas powered chainsaw upside down and see what happens.

Not sure if you have one close by, and maybe Lowe's has these offers as well, but right now at Home Depot, they have some killer prices on batteries for Dewalt. Buy a 2 battery kit with charger... get a free tool, kind of deal. I got a 4ah / 6ah, and palm router I've been looking at for $200. Hard to beat, when you already have yellow tools.

I have one nearby, and I have the app on my phone so I check in from time to time to see if they have any deals on something I need. I’ll take a look and see what they have.

In my very non-professional experience, all chain saws eventually leak bar oil.

Agreed. My Ryobi gas saw leaks bar oil all over the inside of the case - have some old pillowcases in the bottom to keep it from making a mess all over the floor of the shed or truck bed. I just figure it identifies as British - if its not leaking oil, its OUT of oil.
