Gentlemen,
I have a problem. The warn hubs are loose. I pulled the part and there is only one snap ring on the shaft. There is no retaining ring to service these in the hub. After inspection of the hub, there is no grove for a retaining ring to go. Is this normal? Has anyone ran into this? Anyone know a fix?

Find a exploded view of a Dana 60 and look at the hub area.

There should be a ring groove around the inner perimeter of the snout just like 10 bolts and 44's. I don't know who it is but someone sells aftermarket hubs without the groove. I don't know of a fix.

The hubs do not have a groove for a retainer ring. I am thinking maybe a thicker o ring gasket would do the trick???

If it were mine, I’d take the hubs to a machine shop and see if they could cut a groove at the appropriate depth.

Those may not be the stock hubs.Is your lug pattern still 8x6.5?I did run some 35 spline lock outs that was loose as you described. They worked fine.I know it looks a bit odd,but you can use duck tape around the gap as I did.Keeps the crud out.

Or as mentioned, take them to a machine shop.
