I have a 1973 K5 blazer, with a LS swap with a 4L60E transmission. I have Dakota Digital gauge cluster. I tried installing a 4 speed shift indicator and I cannot get the shift indicator to line up properly. I have made several attempts to adjust the cable so the shift indicator works but can't get it to align properly thru out all the gears. Does anyone who has this set-up and find a solution?

Can you shift all gears with your column?

Yes, I have a total of 7 shift points on my column. I can shift into every gear with the column. I switched out the gear selector indicator from a 3 speed to a 4 speed but can't get the all the shift points to line up correctly.

Won't get it perfect. Have to live with the best you can get.

I ended up installing Dakota Digital GSS-3000 Universal Sender Unit for Gear Shift Position Indicator. The column gear selector would have never lined up correctly and I felt it would be problematic over time. The Dakota Digital set-up works well. Unfortunately, this should be part of the Dakota Digital Gauge Cluster and not need to set up a separate sending unit.

Have you programmed your GSS-3000 yet?

Mine was a PIA, the arm on the sender was a little loose and caused an error every time I tried. Took me a few days to figure out.

I had not issues programming it. Did it once and has worked perfect so far.

You could have replaced the column detect to get the shift indicator working right. But no light source without the original cluster
