Welcome DH. I have a 74 C10 Custom Deluxe. Bought it from a widow a few months ago. 350 2bbl, all original, runs good. I put tires, belts, a heater core, a tune up, new seat covers and a paint job on it.
Yes, it has some rust underneath and the engine is greasy and there isn't a thing wrong with saying that.
It is a blue collar working mans truck that will be sold as such.

Actually someone did add power steering, but something is not right as the pulleys do not line up. The belt stays on somehow, but clearly something is wrong.
