Thanks Peeps. Im still trying to figure out if the 2" lift will be ok with the 285/75/16. Does anyone have pictures of a truck lifted 2" with this combo?

While not quiet the same as what you have....
This is my 3/4 ton 2wd sitting on a set of 285/75/16's.
Straight was just fine, turn and it chewed on the front of the fender.
I would say your 4wd would be just fine on them.

This is @Frankenchevy K30. He has 285's on 16x8" wheels and I believe 4" BS. The truck is not lifted, but K30's are about 2" taller stock than a K20. He did not trim his fenders.

By the way, where in N. California are you?

I used to live in Concord, up until 5 years ago, near Ygnacio Valley HS. Still have family in the Brentwood area I see occasionally. Your truck reminds me of my first square back in 1989. It was an '87 K20 also. Mine ultimately had a 4" lift.

Hey Larry, love the blue truck. Thats the look im going for. Are those 285/75/16 All Terra Tires?
I have a tuff country 2" lift on my brown truck as well. Do the tires have a ballon look? or do they look just right?

Im also considering 265/75/16 But they may look too small.

I think you would be disappointed with 265's. My truck is also a K30, but about 2" taller than a K20 stock. My truck has 265's in this photo with 6.5" GM wheels.

I run 31×10.50- R15s on all of my trucks. They fit comfortably and look good. My 86 had 33x12.50-R15s when I got it. They rubbed a little bit, but I put them on my blazer, and they dont.
I'd say 31s no problem, 32s probably no problem but I cant vouch for them, and 33s only if you get a skinnier set.

I have some 31x10.5x15s on my '74 C1500, but I've heard of people putting up to 33's with out any rubbing. With 35's, that's where you start trimming the corners of the fenders.

Nice truck by the way.
need an OE lower turn? your trunk isnt kept to pristine or anything but it will keep the bulb good and you can bend the mounting bosses back so its sits flush

Nope. Looks that way but there room for 32” tire with the hd springs up front might see it better in this pic there a gap back there
