I sure like that back seat storage. I still like squares, but those nice cabins sure are sweet.

Quite a bit more giddy up in the Denali. As to be expected though. I'm sure the mpg is better too.

Another follow-up. This past Saturday ended 22 days in which I made four trips in the Sierra. I spent seven days where I woke up at home and went to bed at home, seven days where I woke up somewhere else and went to bed in the same place, and eight days where I woke up in one place and went to bed in another. Every trip was out and back from Bloomington, IN. Destinations were Northwestern Illinois, Chattanooga, TN, Eastern Ohio, and Northwestern Illinois again.

3400 miles in 22 days, almost all of it Interstate driving at 76 indicated (75 actual) with the A/C on. Average mileage: 22 mpg.

And there were a couple times on two lane roads where I had to pass someone doing 52 in a 55, my preference being 60 in a 55.

The 55-to-85 acceleration time at WOT is unbelievable.

Taking out to stretch it's legs already !!! :waytogo: That's fabulous mpg for that much truck, even if it is modern. I'll assure you, I wouldn't have gotten that. I feel power, I lose discipline on the right foot and let it just do whatever it wants to do and many times, that foot will just lay on the floor like a dead dog.

Mind you, that is running 93 octane, which the L86 prefers.

But mileage has gone up 1 to 2 mpg since the trip I took in the first thousand miles. I suspect it's broken in now (4800 on the odo) and that's about as high as it will go.

Oh, and I'm getting 18 in town.

One reason for the mileage: 75 mph, 1750 rpm. (!)
